story#9

You don’t have to believe anything I say, it’s up to you.

She’s the girl Disney calls Cinderella. She’s made out to be the sweetest girl, whose father dies leaving her to be with her step-sisters and step-mother who treat her badly and make her do all the chores. Whoever said she didn’t like doing the chores? What Disney doesn’t tell you, is that little Cinderella has Obsessive-compulsive disorder. Surprising, right? But it explains why she cleans all the time. She dusts, cleans the floors, does the dishes, and starts all over again. She could very well just stop, but something keeps her going and yes, it’s the OCD. Sure every now and then she’ll cry about it, who doesn’t have a bad day? She can cry if she wants to, she’s just upset about her inadequacies; she can’t make the wooden floors sparkle like she’s seen on those Mr. Clean commercials and it obviously bothers her. Remember how she would always talk and sing with the mice? Disney also didn’t tell you that she was slightly schizophrenic, because children wouldn’t understand it. It wouldn’t make any sense to them, but you do so now you know.

If you’re wondering about what really happened with the fairy godmother, yes, that was one of her schizophrenic times too, but what made things worse, was that Cinderella, innocent Cinderella, was smoking weed that night. So that pumpkin carriage? The prince sent a horse drawn carriage around the kingdom for the women to travel to the ball in and being in her delirious state of happiness, little Cindy happily thought it was a pumpkin and Disney never bothered to disillusion her or the viewers at home.

No, Disney didn’t completely hide to the real tale of Cinderella. She really didn’t like her step-sisters or step-mother and she had a thing for the prince, and as far as we know the two lived happily ever after, whatever that means.

Everything changes depending how a story is told and what little details are kept in or forgotten.
